Veruca Salt at the Palace circa 1997. I liked their record "American Thighs" so I was optimistic about seeing them. They sucked. Couldn't play or sing and the mix was mud at top volume. I shouldn't say this because my hip card might get confiscated, but I'm sure Sonic Youth at Lollapaloser would have been first on my list, but luckily my friends insisted on leaving right after Hole, as did most everyone there.
